Catching the Wind - Testimony

Wow what a pretty cool weekend!!... literally. Sunday afternoon rolled around and we headed to Bossier City to take Chelsey home. We all started talking about the goodness of the Lord and how He always made a way while we traveled. There had been times when we were just about out of gas, but somehow He put some in the tank. Then there were other times where He would guide us when we were lost.

In the middle of our conversation the car decelerates and the engine light comes on. I pulled over and turned it off. I started to crank it and nothing, it wouldn't turn over. At this time it was dark about 8 PM. Here I was with Mamaw, my three kids and Chelsey stranded on the side of HWY 1.

Not even a minute later a man pulled up to see if we needed a jump. First he pushed the car over to the bank parking lot. He had to go borrow some jumpers from someone at the gas station. First of all not many people actually pull over to help anymore. Secondly they would never go out of their way to find jumper cables!!

Called my insurance and when we figured it out I wouldn't have had enough money to pay the difference in the tow fee plus pay a taxi to bring us all home. So this angel, Patrick (GOD BLESS HIM), said that he would help in any way to get my babies and grandmother home. Wow...

All of us piled up in the back of his little truck and he drove out of his way about 50 total miles to take us home and even when we offered to pay for gas, he declined.

Mamaw told me that when they drove home they had a conversation about many things. It turns out that he never takes that route to go back to Keithville (yes Keithville - way south of Shreveport) but "something" told him to go this way. **Praise GOD that some still hear and obey the voice of the Lord**.

I praise God that HE ALWAYS comes to our rescue. He is amazing and these little "problems" in our lives are just carrying us from faith to faith.

I praise the Lord for surrounding me with angels!!

PS we had a BLAST riding home in the back of that truck ;) ;)

Smacking on the "Like" Button

Ha!!

Well I was thinking about this yesterday... Sure most can agree that the "like" button on Facebook has other meanings then "like"... give me a break ;)

With that said I wanted to define other things it means to me...

*acknowledging the post
*I LOVE IT (usually accompanies and overly excited comment) don't laugh or judge "LOL;)"
*hey what's up
*I am thinking about you, hit me back to let me know you're thinking of me
*ok you tagged me so here I will tag you back
*I accept your comment or post but I may disagree with some of it... if I choose to explain myself, I will comment ;)
*Bahahahahahahaha.... Hilarious! I usually add a few words
*I'm touched by your post/pic/comment
*I really like it a lot ;) ;)

There are so many more. Just remember when someone "likes" your post/comment/pic, etc... it could mean SO MANY things. Let's not over think stuff and get our minds in a frenzy, k? ;)

My Top Five ;)

There is nothing wrong with knowing just what you want in the opposite sex. Many would probably laugh at the idea of writing all the qualities they love in the opposite sex, but hey, why not. It's for your own eyes, anyway.

I am a believer in God's will. I also believe that we must be "moving" and "seeking" as well. I don't think that one day the love of your life will fall from the sky and land in your lap... just like I don't believe money will fall from the sky, either. We must first WANT, have FAITH and CLAIM, all the while we are SEEKING.

Here is what I want you to do and I am even going to share a few of my secrets. Why? Because I am just sweet like that ;p ha. Write down 15 qualities that you look for in the opposite sex. I am going to share my top 5 :) (awwwwwww)! Be specific!!

I would say a family man. That is TOO vague and could mean many things. So instead...

(1) MUST really love his Mom and have a good relationship with her.

(2) MUST LOVE KIDS - all kids, any kids and especially his own and mine! Period, NO exceptions.

(3) A good listener and communicator. Ha! I would elaborate but I don't have time to write a book right now... ;)

(4) God fearing, God loving and God follower. If God is not his head, then he cannot be mine. I will have it no other way. He must love God like I do and that is A LOT!

(5) He must know what he wants in life. He must be ambitious and very self motivated. I will support him and lift him up but I will NOT drag a man around or give piggy backs... ouch! In other words, independence and motivation is SO attractive.

Ok that is my top five and all that I am giving.

When you do your 15, make them into sentences, like this:

The man of my dreams must love his mom and children. This helps me feel secure and I know that if he is close to her, he will be close to me because he values and respects women. Loving children is extremely important because mine are my life. A man who loves God, I know will also love me. I love an ambitious man because he is persistent and consistent with whatever he loves to do, he sets goals and is highly motivated. Not only that, he shares these dreams and ambitions with me, which also helps me feel secure and loved by him. With his dreams, he also wants to know about mine. This is what makes me love him so much.

Of course I only have five but this gives an idea to help you out. Begin reading your "story" to yourself and believe that this incredible person will be a part of your life.

Much Love ;)

The Spirit of Jezebel In Our Pews

My eyes are flooded and my heart heavy. There is a pain that shoots through me and a liar that tells me to keep quiet. There are times when the Lord will show me something and as hard as it may be, the many relationships that I could potentially lose seem to be mediocre and the pain I feel in my spirit for our ministers can be extremely overwhelming.

Many believe that the spirit of Jezebel is a lustful or promiscuous spirit. I could see how that may be true. However, my pastor told me long ago that although she had those traits, Jezebel just hated the ministry, period. She was a killer of the ministry.

My heart hurts so bad because I am seeing far too many of our ladies (younger girls, especially) falling into this trap. While Jezebel was a flat out she-devil, she was also very seductive so that she could get what she wanted.

Jezebel was after the man of God. Jezebel was a witch. Seduction is a witchcraft spirit and it is sitting on our pews and in our ladies. This is not easy for me to write but I am doing it because I feel that the Lord is telling me to.

It is hard enough on the man of God (especially the single men) to fight spirits of adultery, lust, fornication, etc. in the world, but when it is sitting in the pew, there is more to it than just all of that. This is also the spirit of Jezebel because her primary goal is to seduce, manipulate and "kill" the man of God.

Ministers, you are being attacked like never before and Satan has slithered his way into the Church using our women. This is the one tactic that he is using in these last days. Remember to take heed to seducing spirits. Not only is the Jezebel spirit wanting to seduce you into adultery, she is wanting to destroy you, your family and your ministry.

She doesn't just make her way into the church, either. She disguises herself on the Internet as a sister in Christ. Ladies, it is our DUTY to show these other women and girls what they ought not to do. If you are going to be Apostolic, please be Apostolic. If you are going to allow Satan to trip you up, find an alter! Quick.

Lord Jesus, please show me the error of my ways! If I have ANYTHING that is ungodly on here, show me so that I can remove it, in Jesus name. Don't allow me to be a stumbling block, especially for the ministry and any man of God. In Jesus name!

Thought I'd Throw This Out There ;)

Sometimes I just feel like yaking and for those of you who care to read, well read away ;)

Sports! I will NEVER be with another man who doesn't like them! Period. No wrestling does NOT count as a sport, either does car racing, horse racing ANY racing! LOL

Talking, I love to do it but I REALLY love to converse. ;) Randomly stays on my mind - there is such a thing.

I am spontaneous probably TOO spontaneous, so don't be surprised if I throw something like this blog, out there ;) ha

If you are mean to kids in any way shape or form you WILL go to hell. Repent and apologize now... thanks!

I am finally diving into more of my book, besides the Title and Chapter Titles ;) Did I really have any time to before? :)

I love the rain and purple and both ;)

Forget falling, forget drowning, forget being heart-broken, forget everything but the Lord, I fear not being the best Mom! - my ONLY fear! - so scary

My kids deserve a better life. Jesus knows this, because I tell Him all the time!

Don't ever let "I love you" lose it's value. There is more than meaning in those words. Saying them is putting your heart at your fingertips. Never lose the passion or the courage! Ever...

I Knew

From the moment I saw you
I knew you'd break my heart
I kept my distance
or would have just fallen apart
When I let you in
I was caught in the middle
Used to test the love of another
It's fine by me, if it's love she's given
and true to the very core.
If there is happiness in your eyes
She has love for your heart
All the while you smile
Simply being caught in the middle
... of two hearts...
Has been worth while.
