Passion Focused

I have taken on a new path (for those who know me, this is not unusual, am I right?) :) I have always been passionate about people and soul winning. However with my horrific separation and divorce, my passions have become dim. The thing about a passion is that you never really lose them. They may fade a little, but they always come back.

Knowing about Soulwinners Bootcamp for a couple years, I knew that this type of ministry is my passion and that there was something here. I added the profile to my Myspace page, sort of keeping that passion on hold. I knew there was something to learn and grow from, but it just wasn't time.

I was recently browsing and came across Matt Maddix's profile again and something clicked. It was time!

Funny how right away he talks about passion and following it. That is exactly what I had in mind. I want to learn all there is to know about winning souls, because it is my PASSION!

I have also learned that we must prioritize our passions because we have more than one. My deal is that I have several of them but there aren't that many hours in the day. This is another thing that Matt helps us with. Prioritize your passions!

God goes without saying in my life because He is the center of ALL of my passions! Let's see what I mean.

My kids and all their activities! #1 - God is the center of this because we MUST get our house in order. If we don't we CANNOT do anything in the Kingdom or anything fruitful!

God loves order.

Soul Winning #2 - This is close to God's heart. Winning souls is the heartbeat of God. To me being passionate about this is to also seek wisdom from God, learn and listen to others who are fruitful (like Bro Matt) and be real. You have to love and be compassionate about souls. Not all saved people do! True fact!

My Business #3 - God has to be the center of this! I have to be able to be in a position, any time of the day, in any situation, to be able to witness about the Lord. Every single day I look for new and excited ways to witness to clients and people I run into. I take every moment to listen to the voice of God and allow Him to guide me to what He would have me to say or do. My business prospering is in His hands. He built it so far and if it falls tomorrow, he will surely have other plans for me.

School #4 - The Lord must guide me through this because I don't want to waste my time and money learning about something that wont benefit the Kingdom. I am in for my As in IT, but my interest and desire for this is quickly dimming. However, earning my BS in Psychology is becoming more passionate. What this means is that I should drop out of IT, because the Lord is removing that desire. Yes He is capable of doing that, especially because I ask Him to. I am so passionate and emotional about things that I ask the Lord to remove those passions and emotions if they aren't going to benefit me and be fruitful for the Kingdom.

Writing #5 - Every word that my fingers type, I want them to be something coming straight from my heart. I have learned that writing is not always good, because like talking we can "say" some really crazy things. We can also write something that someone may totally misunderstand. I love to write and I tend to wear my emotions right at my finger tips. I pray that like it has been prophesied in times past, my fingers will be anointed to release faith through the Word and encouragement to the hurting that I come across online.

Music #6 - Lord Jesus help me with this one. Music is so very much influential on me. This could be a bad thing because I feel that it is my weakness and can get the best of me. I am focusing on listening to music that is full of the anointing of God and spiritually uplifting!

I think that when we not only write things out, but we share it with others, it helps us better. It puts things that are important to us into perspective. We can reflect on them at a later time and catch inspiration.

I believe if we write our passions down and share them, we can stay focused while we pursue them.
